Nothing says romance like a country music club and the swinging of baseball bats, right? So maybe that is not the picture perfect scenario for some of us, but for Chris and Kim it was! In October of 2011, Kim’s friend insisted that they go see Jake Owen perform at their favorite country music club. Kim, an extreme sports fan, was hesistant to go since the World Series was on. She compromised, went to the concert, and sat at the bar where she could watch the game on tv. Chris worked at the country music bar and Kim had previously told her friend she thought he was a cutie. Chris walked by Kim and overheard her talking to someone else about the game. He then Chris muttered “WOW! You’re like a walking sports center”. Kim, so in tune with the game, did not hear what he said. Her best friend however, informed her that “cutie” just tried to spark a conversation. Kim thought she missed her one chance, until Chris came back, they began to chat, and he stole her heart like it was second base. 
They moved to Orlando in 2013, got engaged in 2014, and married in 2015!
