Some people believe in fate & some don’t. Some believe in destiny, others do not. Some believe in divine appointment and some just call it luck. Taylor & Shanea’s story will turn all skeptics into believers.
Taylor grew up in Pensacola, Florida. Shanea grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. Both grew up in Christian homes and had a love for the underground hardcore music scene. How they met is certainly divine appointment. Taylor felt called to the South Carolina School of Leadership, but at the time he was supposed to attend, his parents adopted two beautiful girls from Mexico and he stayed home for the betterment of his family. Shanea’s grandmother felt like Shanea was supposed to attend South Carolina School of Leadership but did not want to push her, since she was unsure of what she wanted to do.
Three years pass and Taylor now feels it is the right time to pack his bags and head to South Carolina. While at the same time, in Pennsylvania, Shanea decides she will attend the school her grandmother thought was where she belonged. Shanea always thought, “I do not know if I will ever get married. Where am I going to meet a Christian guy, covered in tattoos, who loves hardcore music.” Well, within the first week she notices Taylor. And in her own words, “I was not really attracted to him but I felt like God told me that would be my husband.” However, there were forks in the road. First, she had not even met him yet. Second, the school did not allow dating in the first year of attendance. However, they met that year and built a friendship. Then they dated for a year, were engaged for four months, and then committed themselves to one another in the covenant of marriage.
Now that is Meant to Be.
